Honda Fit: Intermediate Shaft Removal (A/T)

  1. Drain the transmission fluid. Reinstall the drain plug with a new sealing washer.

  1. Remove the right driveshaft.

  1. Remove the shift cable cover (A).

  1. Remove the heat shield (A).

  1. Remove the two dowel bolts (B) and the flange bolt (C).

  2. Remove the intermediate shaft (D) from the differential. Hold the intermediate shaft horizontally until it is clear of the differential to prevent damaging the oil seal.
