Honda Fit: ODS Unit Replacement

Removal

  1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure, then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

  1. Disconnect the passenger's side airbag harness 2P connector.

  1. Remove the front passenger's seat-back cover/pad.

  1. Remove the cover (A), then disconnect the ODS unit 18P connector (B) and OPDS sensor connectors (C) from the ODS unit (D).

  3. Remove the two bolts (E) and the ODS unit.

Installation

  1. Place the ODS unit (A) on the seat-back frame. Tighten the two bolts (B).

  2. AEDDCѰ9-10 modelsB6.3 Nح (0.6 kgfح, 4.6 lbfئt)ѱ2-13 models
  3. Connect the ODS unit harness 18P connector (C) and OPDS sensor connectors (D) to the ODS unit. Reinstall the cover (E).

  4. Install the front passenger's seat-back cover.

  5. Install the front passenger's seat assembly, then connect the side airbag harness 2P connector.

  6. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure.

  7. Set the seat-back in the normal position, and make sure there is nothing on the front passenger's seat.

  8. Clear any DTCs with the HDS.

  9. Do the OPDS sensor initialization.

  10. Confirm proper SRS operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
