Install the damper rubber mount (A) onto the damper unit. Position the damper assembly (B) between the body and the axle beam.
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the body.
Position the floor jack under lower spring seat (A) on both sides of the axle beam (B).
Slowly raise the jack until you can align the bolt hole with the holes in the axle beam and the damper (C), then loosely tighten the new damper mounting bolt (D) on both sides.
Raise the rear suspension with the jack until the vehicle just lifts off of the safety stands, then tighten the damper mounting bolts to the specified torque.
Install the damper rubber mount (A), the damper mounting washer (B), and the new self-locking nut (C) on the damper shaft (D).
NOTE: During installation, note the direction of the damper rubber mount and the damper mounting washer.
Tighten the self-locking nut (A) to the specified torque while holding the damper shaft (B) with a hex wrench (C).
Install the access panel (A) on the cargo area side trim.
Install the wire guide grommet (A) on both sides of the axle beam.
Clean the mating surfaces between the brake drum and the inside of the wheel, then install the rear wheel.

Connect the EPS motor angle sensor 8P connector (A), torque sensor 6P connector (B) to the steering gearbox.
