Honda Fit: Front Stabilizer Bar Replacement

Removal

  1. Remove the front subframe.

  1. Remove the steering gearbox from the front subframe.

  1. Remove the flange bolts (A) and the bushing holders (B), then remove the bushings (C).

  2. A8 x 1.25 mmCBD
  3. Remove the stabilizer bar (D) from the front subframe.


Installation

  1. Install the bushings (A) on the stabilizer bar.

    NOTE:

    • Note the direction of installation for the bushings.

    • Align the stabilizer band clamp (B) with the side of the bushings.

  1. Install the stabilizer bar (A) with the bushings on the front subframe.

    NOTE:

    • Note the right and left direction of the stabilizer bar.

    • Note the direction of installation for the bushing holders (B).

  2. FRONTAB8 x 1.25 mm22 NВ·m (2.2 kgfВ·m, 16 lbfВ·ft)
  3. Install the steering gearbox on the front subframe.

  4. Install the front subframe.
