Honda Fit: Steering Gearbox Removal and Installation
Special Tools Required
- Ball Joint Thread Protector, 14 mm 071AF-S3VA000
- Ball Joint Thread Protector, 10 mm 07AAF-SECA120
- Universal Lifting Eyelet 07AAK-SNAA120
- 1.8 Support Bolt 07AAK-SNAA500
- Ball Joint Remover, 28 mm 07MAC-SL0A202
- Engine Support Hanger, A and Reds AAR-T1256
* Available through the Honda Tool and Equipment Program 888-424-6857.
Note these items during removal:

Use solvent and a brush, wash any oil and dirt off the end of the steering gearbox, but avoid any electrical parts. Blow dry with compressed air.

Lower the front subframe from the body then remove the steering gearbox.
