NOTE:
Take care not to scratch the dashboard or its related parts.
When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.
Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
Tilt the steering column down, and pull the steering wheel all the way out.
Remove the instrument panel (A).
Pull out the select/reset knob (B).
Insert a flat-tip screwdriver wrapped with protective tape into the gap (C) between the instrument panel and the dashboard. Pry up on the panel to release the clips (D, E) and the hooks (F), then lift the panel away to remove it.
Disconnect the power mirror switch connector (G).
Install the panel in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
Make sure the power mirror switch connector is plugged in properly.
Make sure that the select/reset knob snaps into place securely, and that it operates properly. If the select/reset knob is loose after installing it, replace it with a new one.
